Prioritizing new tasks

When new tasks arise mid-sprint or mid-quarter, engineers and managers feel pressure to deliver as soon as possible. It can be difficult to prioritize new tasks correctly without putting the current quarter’s goals at risk, and engineers often result to working overtime just to get everything done. This pattern isn’t healthy or maintainable, and the following steps intend to help engineers and managers establish formal processes to balance a healthy team sprint, quarter, backlog, and life.
